If your spa is displaying an error code, not heating, not circulating, tripping a breaker, or showing any sign of a leak, that warrants a professional visit. Basic water chemistry adjustments and filter rinses are things most owners handle on their own. Everything involving electrical components, plumbing, or equipment you cannot identify should be left to a technician.
The most common causes are a failed heater element, a flow switch issue, a dirty or clogged filter restricting water movement, or a malfunctioning thermostat or control board. A technician can identify the exact cause quickly during a diagnostic visit rather than guessing at parts.
Every three to four months is our standard recommendation. Florida's warm climate accelerates biofilm growth and mineral buildup in spa plumbing, which regular chemical treatment does not fully address. A professional drain and clean flushes the plumbing, scrubs surfaces, and gives a technician the chance to spot any developing equipment issues before they become failures.
Not necessarily, but you should not ignore it. Some codes indicate minor issues like low flow or a sensor reading that resolves after a filter clean. Others signal heater failures, pump problems, or electrical faults that need attention. Call us with the code and we can often tell you over the phone whether it is urgent or something that can wait for a scheduled visit.
Yes. Advance Solar & Spa services all major brands, regardless of where they were purchased. If you are not sure whether we work on your specific brand or model, give us a call and we will let you know before you schedule anything.
Weak jets are often caused by a dirty filter, low water level, or an air lock rather than an equipment failure. Jets that are completely non-functional may indicate a pump issue, a broken jet fitting, or a plumbing blockage. We diagnose both the simple and the more involved causes so you are not paying for parts you do not need.
Simple repairs like a filter replacement, an air lock clearing, or a ClearRay bulb swap are usually completed in a single visit of under an hour. Pump and heater replacements typically take one to two hours. Control board replacements or repairs requiring special-order parts may require a follow-up visit once components arrive.
It depends on where the leak is coming from. A slow drip from a jet fitting or union is common and straightforward to repair. A leak from the shell itself is more serious. Left unaddressed, any leak can damage your cabinet, decking, and electrical components over time. We recommend calling us as soon as you notice water loss that is not explained by normal evaporation or splashing.
That depends on the age of the spa, what brand it is, the nature of the failure, and the overall condition of the equipment. We give you an honest assessment. If a repair is going to cost more than the spa is worth or if it is a sign that other components are near the end of their life, we will tell you that clearly. If it makes more sense to repair, we will tell you that too.
Make sure the spa is accessible and the power is on so our technician can run diagnostics with the equipment active. If your spa has a specific error code displayed, note it before the visit. If the issue is water chemistry related, having a recent test strip result handy is helpful. Beyond that, just let us know what you have observed and we will take it from there.
