Advance Solar & Energy Joins Mission to Plant 1 Million Trees

Advance Solar & Energy will team up with local organizations to reach goal in Lee County

Cape Coral, FL, July 21st, 2018— Advance Solar & Energy has launched a new Environmental Company Mission and partnership with local organizations to give back to our planet and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Advance Solar & Energy will be joining The SWFL Future Forestry Foundation and Onetree.org to reach their goal to plant 1 million trees in Lee County. This is a combined effort to help our community and future generations.

On Saturday July 21st, 2018 from 9AM-1PM Advance Solar & Energy staff, customers and volunteers from The SWFL Future Forestry Foundation will join together to make a difference. To kick off this event, Advance Solar & Energy has donated 100 trees to be planted on behalf all the customers that have purchased a solar system in 2018. The event will occur at the Northeast corner of Veterans Parkway and Chiquita Boulevard South in Cape Coral, Florida 33914. Members of the community are invited to stop by to help plant and enjoy a complimentary lunch and refreshments.

Advance Solar & Energy has been providing solar services including solar electric, solar hot water, and solar pool heating in South Florida since 1983. Advance Solar has been a proud member of the South Florida community for years and has been honored to provide eco-friendly alternative energy solutions for homeowners and businesses for over 35 years. According to the EPA’s (United States Environmental Protection Agency) Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator; which converts reductions of kilowatt-hours into avoided units of carbon dioxide emissions; the amount of solar installed in 2018 by Advance Solar & Energy is equivalent to the effects of planting 6,700 tree seedlings grown for 10 years or 305 acres of U.S. forest.

“We are extremely excited to take our E.P.S (Environmental Policy Statement) to the next level in 2018 with this partnership and mission. Advance Solar has been extremely blessed by the growth of solar over the past 2 years, we know the impacts of our industry on the environment and feel that there is even more we can be doing for our community and our Earth. We have found the perfect partners with The SWFL Future Forestry Foundation and OneTree.org and we are confident that our collective efforts will leave a long last impression on Lee County and generations to come.” says Rick Vaske, Director of Operations at Advance Solar.
