Advance Solar & Energy Joins Mission to Plant 1 Million Trees
Advance Solar & Energy will team up with local organizations to reach goal in Lee County
Cape Coral, FL, July 21st, 2018— Advance Solar & Energy has launched a new Environmental Company Mission and partnership with local organizations to give back to our planet and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Advance Solar & Energy will be joining The SWFL Future Forestry Foundation and Onetree.org to reach their goal to plant 1 million trees in Lee County. This is a combined effort to help our community and future generations.
On Saturday July 21st, 2018 from 9AM-1PM Advance Solar & Energy staff, customers and volunteers from The SWFL Future Forestry Foundation will join together to make a difference. To kick off this event, Advance Solar & Energy has donated 100 trees to be planted on behalf all the customers that have purchased a solar system in 2018. The event will occur at the Northeast corner of Veterans Parkway and Chiquita Boulevard South in Cape Coral, Florida 33914. Members of the community are invited to stop by to help plant and enjoy a complimentary lunch and refreshments.

According to the EPA’s (United States Environmental Protection Agency) Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator; which converts reductions of kilowatt-hours into avoided units of carbon dioxide emissions; the amount of solar installed in 2018 by Advance Solar & Energy is equivalent to the effects of planting 6,700 tree seedlings grown for 10 years or 305 acres of U.S. forest.

The Future Forestry Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Cape Coral, Florida and has provided volunteer environmental work throughout the area for two decades. The organization has fought tirelessly against deforestation and has made it their mission to replace as many trees as possible in Lee County.
OneTree.org is the flagship campaign of the Future Forestry Foundation and is a remarkable environmental startup founded by Russ Ringland and Will Revehl. They aim to bring awareness and solutions for the 15 million trees that are cut down each year.
